Shanxi + Taiyuan 8D7N

• After breakfast, drive to Mount Wutai in Shanxi, a world cultural heritage site, one of the five most sacred Buddhist sites in the world, and one of the four most famous Buddhist mountains.
• Visit Mount Wutai Scenic Area: Bodhisattva Peak, Lingtong Temple, Tayuan Temple and Wanfo Pavilion (Wuye Temple).
• Continue to Shahe for overnight stay.
• Overnight at Shahe Fengze International Hotel or similar.

• Leave to Huiyuan today, visit to Hanging Temple, also known as Xuan Kong Temple. It is a combination of three Chinese traditional religious: Buddhism, Taoism and also Confucianism. The whole temple was built on the half-mountain of Cuifeng Mountain. It relies on 27 wooden beams to support the main buildings of the temple. The shape of temple is suspended in the air.
• Visiting the Nine Dragon Wall, it is the earliest and largest building in China’s existing Nine Dragin Wall.
• Overnight at Datong Lavande Hotel or similar.

• Today visit to Yungang Grottoes (include battery car) -- have a total of more than 10,000 Buddha statues. They called the Four Great Grottoes in the Mogao Grottoes, the Longmen Grottoes and the Maiji Mountain Grottoes.
• Then drive to Yingxian County, where you can see Yingxian Wooden Tower and Yanmen Pass (including transportation vehicles).
• Return to Taiyuan for overnight stay.
• Overnight at Taiyuan Mercure Hotel or similar.

• Departed this morning for Qixian County to experience the glassblowing experience. The glassware industry in Qixian County has a history
  of nearly a hundred years, and manual blowing is its outstanding feature.
• Later go to Lingshi Wang Family Courtyard - it is the largest well-preserved building complex in Shanxi and is famous for its exquisite brick carvings, stone carvings and wood carvings.
• Then proceed to Hongdong - the southern part of Shanxi Province.
• Overnight at Rongshi International Hotel or similar.

• Hongdong Sophora japonica, also known as the ancient Sophora japonica, Shanxi Sophora japonica was an immigration base in the Ming Dynasty.
• Then drive to Hukou and visit Hukou Waterfall (including scenic transportation), which is the second largest waterfall in China and the largest yellow waterfall in the world. Hukou Waterfall is magnificent in summer, but in winter, the entire water surface freezes, forming a rare and huge icefall.
• After sightseeing, go to Pingyao for overnight stay.
• Overnight at Pingyao Guild Hall 5-star hotel or similar.

• Today we will go to Pingyao Ancient City (including battery cars in and out of the city). It has a history of more than 2,700 years and is the only cultural city in China that has successfully applied for a world cultural heritage with the entire ancient city.
• Climb the Ancient City Wall and visit Rishengchang Bank and the Ancient County Government.
• Overnight at Kempinski Hotel Taiyuan or similar.

• After breakfast, transfer to airport for your departure flight back home.
• Arrive home with happy memories and till we meet again.
